Travel Mobile

As a mom, I have to carry around way too much $%^& for my baby. Additionally, I don’t have a car and rely exclusively on public transportation (and I am not a camel) so it is pretty critical I only pack essentials.

One day, I made a portable mobile for my son, as I needed something on the go that didn’t take up much space. It folds flat into an A4 size sheet, includes multi-level kickstand, an anchor for a mobile (which folds/stows in a pocket), an easel to hold your phone on the back to play music, and an detachable accordion fold of high contrast cards for tummy time.

The design of the body was inspired by a laptop stand my employer provided, while the attachments (cards, mobile, anchor) are my own. I created this just using recycled cardboard, tape, string, glue and one fastener.

My little boss approved and our family used this at the park, in waiting lines and even long layovers at the airport.
